By Air
Naples Capodichino is the airport closest to Ischia. From there the Molo Beverello pier can be reached by taxi or the bus alibus that stops a few metres from the port of Naples; the ticket can be purchased on board. Instead, to reach Mergellina, the other port of Naples, busses must be changed at the alibus terminus.

By Train
The most important station in Naples is the one in piazza Garibaldi; it is the most convenient for embarking from the great port of Naples. Mergellina is the smaller station – but not all trains stop there – and is close to the port of Mergellina from which the hydrofoils sail. Naples Central Station is about 3 km from the port of Naples where there are non-stop marine connections with Ischia, both ferry and hydrofoil. There are several public bus services connecting the railway station with the port: the bus/tram stop is a few hundred metres from the station; specific lines are: tram number 1 and bus 152: these stop a few metres from the port; bus R2 – which stops a hundred metres from the port, in the Piazza Municipio square. If you need to reach the Mergellina embarkation port from Naples Central railway station, the subway, whose departure point is within the central station itself, can be used.
For the taxi service, the rank is at the railway station exit; request the predetermined tariff for the Port of Naples to be applied: approx. 10 Euro.

By Car
From the highway, reaching the ports of Naples and Pozzuoli is quite simple. To reach the port of Naples from the A1 highway, take the exit towards “Naples - Port” and after having travelled along a section of via Marina, enter at the Calata di Massa gate.
To reach the port of Pozzuoli: from the Naples toll gate, continue for about 12 Km and take the Ring Road (Tangenziale) in the Pozzuoli direction, travel the whole ring road and take the first exit after the “Via Campana” gate, then follow the signposts for the port.

Ships and Hydrofoils
If travelling by car, ferry embarkation is at Calata di Massa in the port of Naples or Pozzuoli; fast connections instead - only for passengers – are the hydrofoils that are to be found at the port of Naples - Molo Beverello pier and at the Mergellina harbour. Hydrofoils arrive at the ports of Ischia, Casamicciola and Forio. However, the most frequent connections are for the port of Ischia. Cost of the hydrofoil ticket is around twenty Euro.
